Research Activities

The major niche of the Centre is provision of specialised analytical chemistry expertise, which is then applied to complex water quality issues. In building this niche, CWQRC has amassed high-end research instrumentation and infrastructure, personnel who have the skills to produce research results from this instrumentation, and personnel who have a broad depth of understanding of complex water quality issues and who recognise the role of interdisciplinary research in addressing these challenges.

Research at CWQRC fall into six key research themes:

  1. Characterisation of Natural Organic Matter
  2. Disinfection By-products
  3. Water Recycling
  4. Aesthetics of Drinking Water
  5. Drinking Water Treatment
  6. Drinking Water Distribution Systems
